The invention relates to a composite material meant to be used as a catalyst for removing dyes from waste water. According to the invention, the material of the type TiO-Pt/graphene oxide or reduced graphene oxide consists of titanium dioxide with platinum content in a Pt:Ti molar ratio of 0.02 and 10% by mass graphene oxide or reduced graphene oxide, presented as powder of homogeneous structure, with advanced azoic dyes degrading efficiency of 60.83...91.01% under UV irradiation and 88.57...99.52% under solar irradiation.
