Described is a fiber with improved compatibility and affinity for a silicate matrix of cement composites consisting of isotactic polypropylene in an amount of from 82.0% to 96.0% by weight and an inorganic micro-limestone micronized limestone in an amount of from 4.0% to 18.0% by weight. The cross-sectional shape of the fiber has the shape of a circle or a five-pointed star.
