Method of calcium carbide treatment for controlled sedimentation of calcareous suspension obtained from carbide

The basis of this technical solution consists in calcium carbide processing in order to achieve controlled sedimentation of limy suspension obtained from the carbide through adding of additives, wherein the additives are aluminium chlorides or sulphates. The additive is added in the range from 2 to 10 % by weight to calcium carbide with graininess at most 20 mm or in the range from 5 to 40 % with graininess at most 5 mm, and the mixture is briquetted. The mixture is subsequently mixed into calcium carbide with graininess from 20 to 80 mm, wherein the mixed mixture of carbide and briquettes with additive has resulting concentration of additive in the range from 2 to 10 % by weight.
