The present utility model discloses a power generation system using floating photovoltaic power generating plant comprising photovoltaic cells installed on aquaculture cages built from low cost, environment-friendly, renewable and sturdy UV treated and laminated bamboo platform mounted on floating recyclable polyethylene drums or barrels. The photovoltaic cells that comprise the power generating plant are arranged and assembled in arrays and mounted on multiple aquaculture cages that serve as wind pressure resistant, safe and low cost floatation devices. The floatation device also includes a passageway built with bamboo or any other indigenous renewable material. The photovoltaic cell assembly is moored on non-corrosive inclined frames to ensure that it can be adjusted at different angles to optimize the absorption of solar heat for power generation. The array of photovoltaic cells also provides necessary protection from the heat of the sun for the fishes in the aquaculture cages thereby reducing the rate of water evaporation and effectively slowing the growth of algae.
