This device is a biological, building-integrated greywater and industrial wastewater treatment treatment plant in the interior, based on a combination of higher plants and microorganisms in the root zone. It consists of several elongated plant containers which are attached to each other at different heights on a scaffold. The planters are filled with an inorganic substrate, which may be partially mixed with activated carbon or biochar, and planted with water-resistant plants. The gray or industrial wastewater is introduced from an upstream storage tank in the top plant floor. The water flows meandering on the basis of a slight inclination and controlled by special overflow devices from a plant floor into the underlying. The water in the storage tank and in the plant containers is aerated by floor mounted trachea or hoses. After the last floor, the purified water flows into a collecting container, from which it is available as service water for various purposes in or around the building. For example, for toilet flushing, plant irrigation and others.
