The present invention relates to volatiles organic compounds of B. bassiana selected from methylbenzene, hexamethyl-cyclotetrasiloxanes, 1,4-dimethylbenzene, ethenylbenzene, dodecamethylpentasiloxane, benzaldehyde, 5-methylundecane, capric aldehyde, 1,4-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-benzene, benzothiazole and 1-decanol, as repellents of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus.
