An electronic tactical countermeasure system comprising: a first retro-directional transceiver sub-system, which receives signals in a first frequency band, said first retro-directional transceiver sub-system transmitting a signal at least substantially towards the direction from where the source signal was received, said retro-directional transceiver sub-system includes: a plurality of antennas; and a plurality of transceiver modules, at least one of said transceiver modules being defined as a reference transceiver module, including said reference transceiver module: a receiver, coupled with a respective one of said antennas, said receiver receiving a signal source of the respective of said antennas; and an amplifier, coupled with said respective antenna, said amplifier receiving an intermediate signal, said amplifier amplifying said intermediate signal and providing said amplified phase shifted signal to said respective antenna; each of the other transceiver modules includes: a receiver, which will be coupled with a different one from said respective antenna, said receiver receiving a source signal from said at least one antenna; a phase shifter to shift the phase of said intermediate signal a value corresponding to a phase shift; and an amplifier, coupled with said respective antenna and with said phase shifter, said amplifier receiving a phase shifted signal from said phase shifter, said amplifier amplifying said signal shifted in phase and providing said signal shifted in amplified phase to said respective antenna ; a signal source generator, coupled with the receiver of said reference transceiver module, with the respective phase shifter of said other transceiver modules and with the respective amplifier of said reference transceiver module, receiving said source generator of signal the respective signal received from the receiver of said reference transceiver module, said source signal generator generating said intermediate signal according to said received signal; and a relative phase determiner, coupled with each of the receivers, and with each of the phase shifters, said relative phase determiner detecting the relative phase between said receiver of said reference transceiver module and each of the remaining receivers, said relative phase determiner further determining a phase shift associated with each of said phase shifters and providing this determined phase shifting to each of the phase shifters, said relative displacement determiner determines said associated phase shifting to said phase shifters in accordance with the relative phases detected, where each of at least two of said antennas transmits the respective amplified signal, thereby producing said antennas a retransmitted signal, and a controller, coupled with said first sub-system of retro-directional transceiver, said said controller controlling the activity of said first retro-directional transceiver sub-system, said controller also managing the tasks of said first retro-directional transceiver sub-system, said tasks including at least the transmitter acquisition.
