Inlet sheath valve (100) comprising: an external tube (110); an inner tube (200); a pressurizable space (206) formed between an inner surface of the outer tube and an outer surface of the inner tube, in which the pressurizable space (206) is pressurizable with at least one substance at a sufficient pressure to make the inner tube (200 ) fold and avoid bleeding from retrograde flow; and wherein the pressurizable space (206) is formed by sealing a first end of the outer tube (110) to a first end of the inner tube (200) and sealing a second end of the outer tube to a second end of the inner tube, characterized by that the inner tube (200) comprises multiple layers of a thin porous membrane of ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) with the inner tube having a thickness of approximately 30 microns.
