Method for estimating relative levels of outdoor air pollution in different locations within an urban area (200) and for optimizing the airflow ventilation conditions of closed environments (220) not monitored using at least one station (210) of air pollution monitoring and at least one computer center (230), said method comprising the steps of: in the at least one air pollution monitoring station (210): - continuously collecting air pollution data outdoor and identify daily trends of frequent fluctuations in outdoor air pollution routinely in real time; - transmit said data to at least one computer center (230); in the at least one computer center (230): - identify synchronizations between different locations of said urban area in terms of trends in outdoor air pollution levels; and - analyze said data including estimating the relative levels of outdoor air pollution in at least one location in the same urban area that does not include a monitoring station, based on identified synchronizations of relative levels of outdoor air pollution - transmit said analyzed data to an automatic regulation unit in at least one closed environment in locations in said urban area that do not include a monitoring station, in which said analyzed data refers to relative levels of outdoor air pollution in real time in the surroundings of said closed environment not monitored and include instructions for the automatic regulation unit about the ventilation of said closed environment not monitored with air coming from outside - in which said instructions are determined according to current estimates of relative levels of air pollution in the surroundings of said ent closed monitor not monitored in comparison to a calculated threshold of relative level of air pollution for each location of said closed environment, and - in which said threshold is calculated by said computing center according to relative levels of contamination at given previous ventilation times including in the threshold calculations a time interval that is measured since the last ventilation period, in which the greater the time interval the greater the thresholds; - in which the instructions control the automatic control unit to activate or continue ventilation if the current estimated relative air pollution level is less than or equal to the threshold.
