A recombinant E. coli strain having productivity of L-tryptophan prepared from E. coli mutant KFCC 10066 having L-phenylalanine productivity, tryptophan auxotrophy releasing chromosome inactivating pheA, trpR genes, mtr and tnaAB and mutating the aroG and trpE gene on chromosome to release the feedback inhibition.
