MUROS modulation using linear baseband combinations with linear Gaussian pulse shaping for two users in a time slot used by remote stations with DARP and without DARP
A procedure for transmitting from a base station (110, 114) to two remote stations during a single time slot on the same carrier frequency, characterized by: generating a first signal, having a first amplitude, for a remote station not enabled for DARP (123-127); generating a second signal, having a second amplitude, for a DARP-enabled remote station (123-127), the second amplitude being less than the first amplitude by at least a first threshold, where the difference between the first amplitude and the second amplitude is less than a second threshold; generating a third signal, adding the first and second signals; and transmitting (2150) the third signal, wherein the threshold within the third signal defines a minimum difference in power between a wanted signal and an unwanted signal, so that the remote station not enabled for DARP receives the desired signal and tries the unwanted signal as interference.
