Tricycle (800, 810) usable between a first mode of operation directed by a tricycle driver, and a second mode of operation directed by an individual pushing the tricycle (800,900), comprising: a frame (a105); a pair of rear wheels (a104) configured for a rotary connection to one side of the frame (a105); a handlebar or a driver's handle (a115) configured to be mounted on the other side of the frame (a105); a fork (a304) configured to connect the handlebar or the driver's handhold (a115) to enable the force exerted on the handlebar or driver's handhold (a115) to rotate the fork (a304); a front wheel (a102) configured for a rotary connection with the fork (a304); a pedal rod configured to extend through the front wheel (a102) to support the pedals (a116) to enable the driver to turn the front wheel (a102); and a spring (a1178) interposed between the pedal rod and the fork connection (a304) to keep a portion of the fork (a304) at a variable distance separated from the pedal rod to allow the distance between the rod of pedal and fork portion (a304) vary as the driver pedals the front wheel.
