Mixture of moldable material for the manufacture of foundry molds for metal processing, comprising at least: * a refractory moldable base material; * a soluble glass based binder; * barium sulfate; and * metal oxides in the form of particles selected from the group of amorphous SiO2, aluminum oxides and aluminosilicates and mixtures thereof.
