Electrochemical process for preparing biarildiaminas, comprising the steps of: a ') introduction of a solvent or solvent mixture as well as a conducting salt in a reaction vessel, b') adding a first aniline with potential oxidation lEOx1l to the reaction vessel, c ') addition of a second aniline with an oxidation potential lEOx2l to the reaction vessel, fulfilled: lEOx2l lEOx1l and lEOx2l - lEOx1l = lΔEl, adding excess second aniline to the first aniline, and the solvent or solvent mixture is selected so that lΔEl is in the range from 10 mV to 450 mV, d ') introducing two electrodes in the reaction solution, e') applying a voltage to electrodes, f) coupling the first aniline with aniline to form a second biarildiamina.
