A method of making a payment transaction that involves the detection of a payment device, comprising: detecting using the wireless communications technology of a device or terminal reader, a presence of the payment device that has a contactless element capable of a communication and a data transfer using a wireless communications technology comprising a short-range data transfer technology that uses RFID, to receive, by the device or terminal reader, the data identifying an associated payment account or consumer with the payment device, determine, through the device or terminal reader, that an interaction with the payment device or a consumer is required before the execution of the payment transaction, determine, through the device or terminal reader, that the interaction has been executed; and detect, using wireless communications technology comprising short-range data transfer technology that uses RFID of the device or terminal reader, the presence of the payment device, and execute, through the device or terminal reader, the transaction payment, which implies transferring the identity or authentication data of the consumer to the device or terminal reader, using the contactless element; in which executing the payment transaction also comprises creating an authorization request message and transmitting the authorization request message to an issuer of the payment device; and determine that an issuer update is required for the payment device, in which the method further comprises one of: (i) request that the payment device be presented to the device or terminal reader, and execute the update issuer in the payment device using the device or terminal reader, and (ii) receive, by means of the payment device, in the event that the payment device is a mobile phone, an issuer update over the air through of a mobile network from the sender, in which, by means of the device or terminal reader, determining that an interaction with the payment device or a consumer is required before the execution of the payment transaction, comprises determining, by means of the reader of devices or terminal, that interaction with the payment device is required before the execution of the payment transaction, and in which the method further comprises: receiving identity or aut consumer communication from the payment device, after the user provides the identity or authentication data of the consumer to the payment device.
