Procedure for performing a virtual surgery for training purposes, especially a virtual ophthalmologic intervention, the procedure being defined through a surgical program comprising the following procedural steps that can be performed through a computer, preferably through a PC, decentralized by a person to be trained: - the representation of a surgical field in a human or animal body, especially of an eye, on a screen, - the virtual realization of a specific intervention with at least one dummy that mimics a specific medical surgical device, if necessary, with peripheral devices, projecting the dummy and the movement and operation of the dummy to the surgical field, - the interactive representation of the surgical steps or the surgical result on the screen, - the comparison of the result of the simulated surgery of the person to be r trained - step by step - with an ideal surgical result, - the communication of proposals for improvement with respect to the different surgical steps of the surgical program, the surgical program being facilitated through a data carrier or through the Internet being able to be loaded from data support with the help of an access authorization or download via the Internet and be activated, requiring the connection of the corresponding dummy to the computer a pre-selection of the surgeries that come into consideration.
