METHOD OF QUANTITATIVE CALCULATION AND ASSESSMENT OF BITUMAN CONTENT IN ANCIENT CARBONATE RESERVOIRS

The present invention provides a method of quantitative calculation andassessment ofbitumen content in ancient carbonate reservoirs, comprising: sampling areservoir attarget intervals, grinding the collected carbonate core samples into thinsections,selecting at least one of view positions for each piece of the carbonate thinsection atrandom, collecting an image of the view position; analyzing the collectedimage of theview position, defining distribution morphology of the bitumen in thecollected imageof the view position; highlighting display of the bitumen; acquiring apercentage ofthe bitumen in the image of a single view position; based on the obtainedpercentageof the bitumen in the image of the single view position in conjunction withthenumber of pictures randomly collected at a specific depth, obtaining apercentage ofthe bitumen at the specific depth; counting the percentage of the bitumen fromalongitudinal direction and from a plane, respectively, and constructing abitumendistribution histogram and a planar distribution graph thereof. The method ofquantitative calculation and assessment of bitumen content in ancientcarbonatereservoirs of the present invention can obtain the bitumen content in ancientcarbonatereservoirs.
