A model of geomechanical properties in an underground volume includingan oil and/or gas reservoir is obtained using seismic data acquired withsensorsplaced to probe the underground reservoir, well logs of wells drilled insidetheunderground volume, and composition information of horizontal, deviated andvertical drill cuttings from the wells. The composition information is used tocalibrate the well logs, which are then employed to improve models obtainedfrom the seismic data.
