A shopping facility assistance system comprises a plurality of motorizedtransport unitsand a plurality of corresponding user interface units. The central computersystem wirelesslycommunicates with those user interface units via a network interface andcontrols movementof those motorized transport units through a retail shopping facility whilealso receiving a voiceinput from a user via a particular one of the user interface units that isassociated with aparticular one of the motorized transport units. The central computer systemthen determines,using voice recognition, that the voice input comprises, at least in part, aninquiry regardingproduct pricing. The central computer system then responsively provides avoiced output viathe corresponding user interface that is responsive to the inquiry.
