A gutter protection device engageable with a gutter is provided. The gutterincludesa front wall, a bottom wall and a rear wall defining a trough, and the frontwallhaving an upper rim defining an inward recess. The gutter protection devicecomprises a front portion, a single plate central portion, a rear portion andalongitudinal median line, the front portion being configured to contact thefront wallof the gutter, the gutter protection device comprising, solely in the frontportionthereof and forwardly from the longitudinal median line, a lower perforatedsectionvertically spaced-apart from the single plate central portion and extendingforwardly thereof and an upper perforated plate extending above the lowerperforated section and being spaced-apart therefrom to define a water drainingchamber inbetween when the gutter protection device is engaged with thegutter.A gutter assembly is also provided.
