SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING SAFETY AND SECURITY THREATS IN SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT

Exemplary embodiments are provided for a threat alert system for identifyingsafety and security concerns from socialmedia content. The threat alert system receives a search term and combines itwith another term from a library. Social media content issearched for the search term and the library term to identify content thatincludes safety and security concerns based on the search termand the library term. The library term aids in constraining the search ofsocial media content to identify content that includes safetyand security concerns, rather than other benign information. Determination ofan existence of a relationship between an author of theidentified social media content results and an enterprise triggers generationand transmission of an alert to a device associated withthe enterprise, the alert including the social media content results. Someembodiments opportunistically pattern match content in socialmedia posts against a library of terms identify safety and security threats.
