The present invention relates to a composition, containing a fat-soluble additive, for coating a balloon catheter, a balloon catheter coated with the composition for coating, and a method for manufacturing a drug-eluting balloon catheter by coating the composition for coating on the balloon catheter. The composition for coating a balloon catheter according to the present invention is uniformly dispersed and coated on a surface of the balloon catheter, and thus, at the time of balloon inflation, a therapeutic drug can be effectively delivered in a short time, and the effect of the delivered drug can be sustained at a site of treatment for a long period of time. Therefore, the composition can be used in a balloon catheter for an operation for cardiovascular diseases, such as coronary artery disease, vascular restenosis, and peripheral vasoocclusion, thereby improving the therapeutic effect compared with a conventionally used balloon catheter.
