The aim of the invention is to provide an improved solution for an adhesive connection for the planar adhesion of components, in which the adhesive connection has a non-uniform stress distribution in different regions of the adhesive surface. According to the load, such as the distribution of stress, an adhesive should be adaptable as well as possible in terms of its properties to the stress curve within the adhesive surface, wherein advantageous interactions between the respective adhesive adaptations should be exploited. In this way, a stress-optimized adhesive connection for the overlapping connection of at least two components (5) using a single adhesive (14) is provided, said adhesive comprising at least two components, wherein said components are mixed together and the adhesive (14) is applied at least in the overlap region of the components (5) as an adhesive surface (4) onto at least one of the components (5), and the components (5) are joined correspondingly in an overlapping manner, the adhesive (14) being curable. According to a mechanical stress of the adhesive connection in two, three or more regions of the adhesive surface (4), the adhesive (14) has in these regions of the adhesive surface (4) corresponding mixing ratios (1, 2, 3, n) of the components.
