Disclosed is a preparation method for a porous graphite-doped and carbon-coated lithium titanate negative electrode material. The doping and modification of lithium titanate by porous carbon and carbon coating can solve the problem of poor high rate performance of lithium titanate, and the spinel structure thereof is not influenced. As the doped porous carbon and the carbon coating layer play the role of an electronic transmission buffering layer, the cycle performance of the lithium titanate material is improved; in addition, the introduction of a carbon precursor can effectively inhibit the aggregation of the lithium titanate particles during heat treatment, and the diffusion coefficient of the lithium ions in the lithium titanate material is increased. The process of the present invention is simple and is convenient for industrial production.
