Disclosed are a high calorific biomass molded fuel which uses biomass together with final byproducts and residues generated during a process of producing vegetable oil, and can be used as a fuel, a reducing agent and a heating agent in thermoelectric power plants and steel mills, and a method for producing the same. A method of the present invention for producing a high calorific functional biomass molded fuel for thermoelectric power plants and steel mills comprises: a step of grinding biomass; a vegetable oil byproduct supply step for supplying vegetable oil byproducts after the step of grinding the biomass; a step of heating and stirring the ground biomass and the vegetable oil byproducts after the vegetable oil byproduct supply step; a step of drying and stabilizing the vegetable oil byproducts and the biomass after the heating and stirring step; and a step of compression-molding the vegetable oil byproducts and the biomass after the drying and stabilizing step.
