Provided is a suction port body for an electric vacuum cleaner, whereby the inside of the suction port body can be washed in water. A suction port body for an electric vacuum cleaner, provided with: a suction port main body connected to a vacuum cleaner main body and having an electric component and a suction port part; and a dust collecting part unit provided in front of the suction port main body and apart from the suction port main body, and having a dust collection chamber communicated with the suction port part, a dust collecting rotary brush disposed inside the dust collection chamber, and a dust collection opening communicated with the dust collection chamber; the suction port main body having as the electric component at least a motor for driving rotation of the rotary brush; the dust collecting part unit being provided with an upper case for forming the dust collection chamber, a lower case detachably mounted to a bottom side of the upper case and provided with the dust collection opening, and a middle case detachably mounted between the upper case and the lower case and having a suction port part communicated with the abovementioned suction port part; and the rotary brush being disposed between the middle case and the lower case in a state of being detachably attached to the dust collection opening in the lower case.
