Disclosed are a method for controlling a playing terminal, and a playing terminal. The method comprises: receiving a no-disturbing setting instruction sent by a target control terminal, the no-disturbing setting instruction carrying an identifier of the target control terminal and a time period; setting the time period as a no-disturbing time period, and setting the identifier of the target control terminal as an identifier of an authorized control terminal within the no-disturbing time period in response to the no-disturbing setting instruction; if a control instruction which is sent by a control terminal and comprises an identifier of the control terminal is received within the no-disturbing time period, judging whether the identifier of the control terminal is consistent with the identifier of the authorized control terminal; and if the identifier of the control terminal is consistent with the identifier of the authorized control terminal, executing an operation corresponding to the control instruction in response to the control instruction. Thus, implementation of embodiments of the present invention improves dedicated controllability of a user terminal over a playing terminal within a certain time period.
