Provided are a cloud platform-based fault handling method and device. The method comprises: when a fault handling request of a target object is received, collecting first target data of a terminal where the target object is located and/or second target data of a serving end where the target object is located; matching with a preset fault model using the first target data and/or the second target data, wherein the fault model is related to one or more fault solutions; when matching succeeds, selecting a target fault solution from the one or more fault solutions; and outputting the target fault solution. Embodiments of the present application improve the coverage rate of detection and avoid the direct description of a problem from a user, thereby improving the efficiency of detection, and meanwhile, the fault detection operation using a fault model is simple, so that the frequencies of manual intervention are greatly reduced, and the consumption of energy of the user is reduced.
