An energy-saving type hydraulic system comprises a hydraulic force application device (10), a hydraulic pushing device (20) connected to the hydraulic force application device (10), and a hydraulic return device (30). The hydraulic force application device (10) comprises a bearing platform (12), the bearing platform (12) being locatable at a first high position (H11) and a first low position (H12). The hydraulic pushing device (20) comprises a transfer platform (22), the transfer platform (22) being locatable at a second high position (H21), a return position (H23), and a second low position (H22). The height of the second low position (H22) is lower than a buffer platform (40). The hydraulic return device (30) is connected between the hydraulic pushing device (20) and the hydraulic force application device (10), the hydraulic return device (30) comprising a stress portion (32). In a process of descent of the hydraulic pushing device (20) from the return position (H23) to the second low position (H22), the hydraulic pushing device (20) abuts against the stress portion (32) of the hydraulic return device (30) such that a working fluid flows back to the hydraulic force application device (10) from the hydraulic return device (30). The energy-saving type hydraulic system saves energy in a mode of converting potential energy to kinetic energy, and protects the environment.
