The present invention addresses the issue of providing: a liquid crystal cell having a high degree of three-dimensional molding freedom; a production method for a 3D-structure liquid crystal cell having a high degree of three-dimensional molding freedom; and a 3D-structure liquid crystal cell precursor used in the production of the 3D-structure liquid crystal cell. This liquid crystal cell has at least two plastic substrates and a liquid crystal layer. At least one of the plastic substrates is a heat-shrinkable film having a thermal shrinkage of 5%-75%.
