Disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention are a text-message processing method and a user terminal, said method comprising: detecting a touch control operation concerning a target text message in a user terminal; obtaining touch-control parameters of said touch control operation, said touch-control parameters comprising a touch-control pressure value; according to said touch-control pressure value, generating a target control instruction concerning said target text message, wherein target control instructions, concerning the target text message, generated from different touch-control pressure values are different; performing an operation corresponding to said target control instruction on said target text message. Upon implementing the embodiments of the present invention, it is possible to quickly perform various operations on a text message, saving operation time and improving convenience in operation.
