HIGH OCTANE GASOLINE FROM NAPHTHA AND LOW OCTANE GASOLINE

The present invention is related to a new fuel blend using low- octane gasoline, with methanol and MTBE. The produced fuel has 10-15 percent of methanol, 10 percent of MTBE, and 75-80 percent of low octane gasoline - all proportions are by volume of the final product. The outcome of the mixture is a high-octane fuel with octane number ranging from 92 to 95 instead of 80 for the base gasoline. The resulting mixture conforms to environmental requirements for high octane gasoline, and doesn't require engine or tank modifications.
