The present invention makes it possible to alleviate fatigue of a user, by maintaining changes in the attitude of the arms of the user, and by fixing and holding the arms of the user in various attitudes, as required. This surgery assisting fixture includes a body frame (1) worn on the upper body of the user, arm support units (4) worn on the arms of the user, and linking members (5A to 5C) which link the body frame (1) to the arm support units (4), wherein the linking members (5A to 5C) can be switched between an extendible/retractable state and a non-extendible/non-retractable state.
