DOSING DEVICE FOR APPLYING A FLAVOURING- OR A CLEANING- AND/OR DISINFECTANT AGENT TO A TABLEWARE RIM THAT COMES INTO CONTACT WITH A CONSUMER'S MOUTH

The invention relates to a dosing device (10) for applying a flavouring- or a cleaning- and/or disinfectant agent to a tableware (1) rim (2) that comes into contact with a consumer's mouth, such as a dispensing receptacle (1a), cup (1b), dinner plate (1c), piece of cutlery (1d), beverage can (1e) or beverage bottle (1f), the device at least comprising: a container (20) for holding a flavouring- or a cleaning- and/or disinfectant liquid (99); an operating mechanism (30) for dispensing the liquid (99) from the container (20) to an outlet (50); and a distribution attachment (60) that is operatively connected to the outlet (50), the attachment having two opposing limbs (61) delimiting a gap (70) with an insertion opening (71) between said limbs, such that a section (5) of a tableware (1) rim (2) that comes into contact with a consumer's mouth and that is to be flavoured or cleaned and/or disinfected can be inserted into the gap (70) via the insertion opening (71), and, at least if the device (10) is designed as a dosing device (10) for applying a cleaning and/or disinfectant agent, the operating mechanism (30) has a receiving space (34) for receiving all or part of the container (20). A distribution attachment (60) designed in said manner has the advantage that aesthetically unappealing dirt residues and/or pathogen traces sticking to the rim (2) of tableware (1) that comes into contact with the consumer's mouth are cleaned and/or disinfected section by section by means of the limbs (61), once the rim (2) that comes into contact with the consumer's mouth has been introduced into the gap (70), so that aesthetic expectations can once again be met and/or the risk of pathogenic infections can be reduced for consumers whose mouths come into contact with the rim (2). An alternative use relates to flavouring the tableware (1) rim that comes into contact with a consumer's mouth, in particular the rim of a dispensing receptacle (1a), with a flavouring agent. An appropriate form for the invention is thus a portable pocket-size pen.
