As a window (100) of the present invention which has a wind breaking member that seals a passage for air to move between the window and a window frame on which the window is installed, a window has: a pair of vertical frames (111, 111a), a pair of horizontal frames (115), and glass (117) disposed in the space between the pair of vertical frames and the pair of horizontal frames. A receiving space (113) having a surface opened toward the window frame side is formed inside one vertical frame from among the pair of vertical frames. A wind breaking member (W) is housed in the receiving space and includes: a vertically moving part (130) that linearly reciprocates in a vertical direction within the receiving space so as to cover a passage for air to move between a window and a window frame (30); a horizontally moving part (150) housed in the vertically moving part and linearly reciprocating in a horizontal direction so as to cover a passage for air to move between the window and the window frame; and a handle for operation (170) for moving the vertically moving part and the horizontally moving part in the vertical direction and the horizontal direction, respectively, via an operation by a user.
