A method for recommending video through Bluetooth technology, a remote controller, and a smart TV. The method comprises: establishing a Bluetooth connection with a remote control; receiving a message of a new user notification sent by the remote control through the Bluetooth connection, wherein the message of a new user notification comprises user information, and the user information is information obtained after the remote control performs fingerprint recognition on a fingerprint input by the user and performs identity authentication; and recommending video corresponding to the user information according to the user information. By means of the method, the remote control and the smart TV, the smart TV can receive a message of a new user notification sent by the remote control through a Bluetooth connection and recommend the corresponding video to a user according to user information in the message, without manual search and input by a user, thereby reducing the frequency of manual operations by the user and providing intelligent service for the user.
