Furthermore, according to the invention, the control and regulating algorithm is used to continuously adapt or at least approximate the opening and closing cycle (s_Tür (t), v_Tür (t)) of the passenger door system (2) to the idealised opening and closing cycle (s_ideal, v_ideal), taking into account the characteristic maps relating to environment parameters and/or the characteristic curves relating to environment parameters, correction values of correcting variables for the door actuation being varied as required and associated correcting elements controlled correspondingly. The invention further relates to a control device (1) for carrying out said method.
