A hydrogenated conjugated diene polymer produced by a method comprising the steps of: polymerizing, in the presence of an alkali metal compound or the like, monomers including butadiene to obtain a conjugated diene polymer having an active terminal; reacting the conjugated diene polymer having an active terminal with a compound represented by formula (1); and performing hydrogenation such that the degree of hydrogenation of the butadiene-derived structural unit in the conjugated diene polymer is 80-99%. In formula (1), X¹ is a silicon atom or a nitrogen atom, R¹ is a single bond or an alkanediyl group, R² is an alkanediyl group, R³ is a hydrocarbyl group, A¹ is a hydrocarbyl group or a group represented by "-R⁴-A²", and B¹ is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group or the like.
