A personal dictionary creation program, a personal dictionary creation method, and a personal dictionary creation device are provided such that a personal dictionary reflecting idiosyncrasies of a user can be created by freely inputting a few characters by handwriting. When executed, the personal dictionary creation program causes a control unit of the personal dictionary creation device to execute: first processing for creating a classification table in which the directions of tip parts and end parts of respective strokes with respect to basic directions of the strokes are described in the form of vectors, and for extracting feature patterns from among the directions listed in the classification table; second processing for setting a representative character group by extracting multiple representative characters having one or more feature patterns; third processing for causing a user to input the respective representative characters by handwriting, and for converting the respective strokes of the input handwritten representative characters into vectors; fourth processing for extracting idiosyncrasy information of the user by comparing the vectors of the respective strokes of the input handwritten representative characters with vectors of respective strokes of respective representative characters in a pre-stored standard dictionary; and fifth processing for creating or updating a personal dictionary for the user by reference to the idiosyncrasy information.
