A city cognitive map generating method based on an internet word frequency, comprising: determining, in a given geographical range, the place names and road names in a studied area, and establishing a place name table and a road name table; editing a CAD drawing of status quo of the studied area; capturing the value of a place name word frequency and the value of a road name word frequency in the studied area, assigning the value of the place name word frequency in the place name table and assigning the value of the road name word frequency in the road name table; connecting a processed CAD file with the established tables, respectively calculating the value of an intersection word frequency, the value of a road word frequency and the value of a block word frequency, and generating a city cognitive map of the intersections, roads and blocks; and generating, by means of a traffic cost calculation method, an optimum cognitive path between two points or multiple points, and offering an optimization proposal for the studied area in combination with the cognitive map of the intersections, roads and blocks. The city cognitive measurement collected on the basis of the network data can provide new fundamental technical support for the planning and designing of the city physical form.
