A learning image automatic sorting device according to the present invention is provided with: a movement detection means which, using an image of interest to be subjected to sorting determination out of a plurality of taken images , and a taken image temporally preceding the image of interest, detects a movement amount of a subject in the image of interest; a determination unit for determining whether the image of interest is to be selected as a learning candidate image or not on the basis of the movement amount; a derivative image generation unit which, using at least one of the image of interest selected as the learning candidate image by the determination unit and a learning image, generates one or a plurality of derivative images; a similarity calculation unit for calculating a similarity between the learning candidate image and the learning image and a similarity between the one or the plurality of derivative images and the learning image or a similarity between the one or the plurality of derivative images and the learning candidate image; a sorting unit for sorting, on the basis of the similarities calculated by the similarity calculation unit and a statistically determined condition, the image of interest selected as the learning candidate image as a new learning image; and a storage unit for storing the learning image.
