Provided are a method and a device for high-intensity focused ultrasound damage determination, the method comprising: S101, obtaining displacement detection sequences for a magnetic resonance acoustic radiation force on a diseased tissue before and after treatment using a high-intensity focused ultrasound; S102 and S103, adding a motion encoding gradient respectively to the magnetic resonance acoustic radiation force displacement detection sequences before and after treatment, and determining displacements in the diseased tissue before and after treatment according to a phase change of magnetic resonance phase maps obtained before and after the addition of the motion encoding gradient; S104, determining that the diseased tissue is damaged when the difference of displacements in the diseased tissue before and after treatment is greater than a predetermined threshold. The method is not influenced by temperature and may enable a quick and accurate determination as to whether a tissue necrosis has occurred. The method requires no complicated external excitation source and is insusceptible to noise The operating method is simple and will not generate additional heat and damages to the tissue, and the detection method is safe.
