The technical solution of the present invention includes a light-weight embedded network management system and method. The system comprises: a web client for providing core service management, instruction sending and module customization function interfaces; a data interaction module for realizing service operation and providing data interaction management; and a network element for reporting log and status information. The present invention further comprises a light-weight embedded network management method, comprising: providing a user with core service management, instruction sending and module customization interfaces, thus realizing service management, instruction sending and module customization functions. The present invention has the beneficial effects that the operations are simplified, avoiding the potential conflicts in usage of resource, reducing the development and maintenance cost, that the loosely coupled module framework design is beneficial to later incremental development, and that the deployment way is flexible and configurable, being strong in extendibility.
