The invention relates to the field of intelligent food services. Provided are a group-based menu filtering method and an electronic dish-ordering device. The method comprises: storing dishes served by a hotel and group-specific tags corresponding to the respective dishes (S101); reading a tag clicked on by a user (S102); and according to the tag clicked by the user, displaying dishes having tags the same as the tag clicked on by the user (S103). The invention performs intelligent filtering of a menu, thereby enabling a customer to directly select suitable dishes according to personal needs.
