A technology-related data collection method for giving an alarm with headphones, and headphones for giving an alarm. The method comprises: collecting sound decibel levels in the ambient environment (S101); calculating an average sound decibel level of the ambient environment within a certain time period (S102); setting the average sound decibel level as a reference level (S103); monitoring the current environment to determine whether a sound having a decibel level higher than the reference level by a certain number of decibels is present (S104); if so, then providing a notification to a user (S106); and if not, then remaining normal operation of headphones (S105). By recording sound decibel levels in the ambient environment with headphones, calculating an average decibel level, and monitoring the current environment to terminate currently running application software and notify a user upon detection of a sound having a decibel level higher than the average decibel level by a certain threshold, the present invention enables reaction to a change of sound in the current environment.
