Provided is a pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase inhibitor and an application therefor. Specifically provided is a compound R_a-S-S-R_b of formula X or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, the compound having excellent inhibition of pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase activity and anti-tumour effects. Also provided is a pharmaceutical composition containing said compound and applications for inhibiting pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase activity and resisting tumours.
