This ECU 20 comprises: an acquisition unit that acquires both end positions, in the lateral direction of a vehicle, of an object within an image captured by a camera sensor 30; a calculation unit that calculates a movement path of the object in the vehicle lateral direction on the basis of at least a center position, in the vehicle lateral direction, between said both end positions having been acquired; and a determination unit that determines whether or not the acquisition unit has acquired, as said both end positions, a moving end point the position of which changes within the captured image and a fixed end point the position of which does not change within the captured image. In cases where it is determined that the acquisition unit has acquired the moving end point and the fixed end point, the calculation unit calculates the movement path on the basis of the moving end point.
