An RFID technology-based device for monitoring a student entering and leaving a school gate comprises a radio frequency label card and an SPS ground surface identification and positioning device for an entrance. A student code is recorded on the radio frequency label card. The SPS ground surface identification and positioning device comprises a radio frequency antenna (3) and a radio frequency reading and writing device (4) connected to the radio frequency antenna (3). The radio frequency antenna (3) is disposed below the ground surface at the entrance. The radio frequency reading and writing device (4) is connected to a data center (7), and the radio frequency reading and writing device (4) is connected to a smart terminal (6) through a wireless signal. The device has a high reading success rate, a strong interference resistance capability, a simple whole structure and small investment, facilitates the installation in a great number of schools and factories, and helps to track whether a student or a staff member leaving or entering a school gate or a factory.
