Embodiments provide an apparatus for a User Equipment (UE) comprising a cellular transceiver to communicate via a cellular link, and a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) transceiver to communicate via a WLAN link, wherein the apparatus is to send or receive Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) Packet Data Units (PDUs) over the WLAN link, or the cellular link, or both, that are not encrypted at the PDCP Layer level. Embodiments also provide associated User Equipments and methods.
