The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for desalination using a draw solution in a reverse osmosis continuous process, comprising a step of performing a first reverse osmosis process by positioning saline water and a draw solution of which concentration is lower than that of the saline water while having a semipermeable membrane therebetween and applying a low pressure to move the saline water to the draw solution; and a step of applying a pressure to the draw solution containing the saline water for performing a second reverse osmosis process to produce freshwater, thereby reducing installation and operation costs since a lower pressure is applied compared to an existing reverse osmosis process.
